All listing data is retrieved via an unofficial Steam API. Currently, only sell order information is available, so the data is somewhat limited in its reference value. I am actively exploring ways to obtain more comprehensive information (such as buy orders and historical data). The data is updated automatically once every hour.
In-game item metadata (such as item IDs) is extracted from MapleStory's .wz files using the tool
WzComparerR2.
Item names are matched to their corresponding IDs;
However, due to the presence of duplicate item names in the game, occasional mismatches may occur. If you notice any incorrect matches, you are welcome to submit a bug report — I will manually maintain and correct these IDs as needed.
Additionally, the current gender identification logic is based on a method I found on an online forum. While I cannot guarantee its complete accuracy, from my own observation, it appears to be generally reliable without any obvious major errors. In any case, it should provide better guidance than having no gender reference at all. If you happen to notice any incorrect matches, please feel free to let me know!
With the correct in-game IDs, item previews are generated via the maplestory.io API. Many thanks to their team for providing such an amazing resource! That said, some limitations remain: newer items may not yet be available for preview, and certain special items such as Chat Rings and Label Rings cannot currently be displayed. I plan to investigate these issues further and explore possible solutions in the future.
